Notice of the Preparation of the Draft Development Plan for Kilkenny County 2014 - 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the County of Kilkenny has, pursuant to the provisions of the above Acts prepared a Draft Development Plan for Kilkenny County for the period 2014 to 2020.
The Draft Plan is accompanied by an Environmental Report prepared in accordance with the Planning & Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 and an Appropriate Assessment, pursuant to Article 6 of the Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC.
A copy of the Draft Development Plan and Environmental Report and Appropriate Assessment may be inspected at the Planning Office of Kilkenny County Council, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny during the hours of 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., Monday to Friday for a period from the 14th June 2013 to the 23rd August 2013 and at the offices of Kilkenny Borough Council City Hall High Street Kilkenny during the hours of 9.00am to 5.pm Monday to Friday (both dates inclusive but excluding Public Holidays).
The Draft Development Plan and Environmental Report and Appropriate Assessment may also be inspected at the Council's Area Offices from the 14th June 2013 to the 23rd August 2013 (both dates inclusive but excluding Public Holidays) as follows:
Thomastown Area Office Mon - Fri 9am -5pm closed 1-2
Callan Area Office Mon - Fri 9am-5pm closed 1-2
Castlecomer Area Office Mon - Fri 9am-5pm closed 1-2
Ferrybank Area Office Mon - Fri 9-5 closed 1-2
A copy of the Draft Plan and the Environmental Report will also be available for public inspection at the County Library, Johns Quay, Kilkenny and the branch Libraries:- at Loughboy and Ferrybank during their normal opening hours.
Copies of the Draft Plan and Environmental Report and Appropriate Assessment may also be downloaded from the Council's dedicated Development Plan website www.ourplan.kilkenny.ie from the 14th June 2013.
Written submissions may be made to Kilkenny County Council , with respect to the Draft Development Plan, the Environmental Report and the Appropriate Assessment up to 5pm on the 23rd August 2013.
Submissions may also be made online at www.ourplan.kilkenny.ie by following the links on the site or via email to ourplan@kilkennycoco.ie
All submissions made within the period specified will be taken into consideration before the making of the Development Plan.
Submissions may be addressed to the Director of Services Planning, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny .
Please include your name and address on a separate page to the content of your submission. This is to assist Kilkenny County Council in complying with the provisions of the Data Protection Act.
Please note that all submissions will be made available for public viewing on the Council's website during the plan-making period.
