IMPORTANT PLANNING NOTICE
THE COUNCILS OF THE CITY AND COUNTY OF KILKENNY
Kilkenny Local Authorities wish to announce that the Planning Function for Kilkenny Borough Council and Kilkenny County Council has now been amalgamated.
The Planning Service provided in City Hall, High Street, Kilkenny ceased on 31st October, 2013.
All Planning services for both authorities is now delivered from the Planning Office in County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny with effect from 1st November, 2013.
Pending the full legal transfer of the Borough Function in 2014 - Planning Applications will continue to be made (i.e. formally addressed to) Kilkenny Borough Council at County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny. Therefore, all planning documents relating to the area within the Borough Boundary should continue to be submitted in the name of Kilkenny Borough Council e.g. application form, site notices, and public notices.
Members of the public and agents acting on behalf of applicants for planning permission should note that planning applications may be inspected or purchased at the Planning Offices of Kilkenny County Council. All further site notices and newspaper notices should include this.
